About the Role
The main purpose of the job holder is to achieve growth in the market by designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company's merchant base and ensures its strong presence. He will be responsible for setting a vision and a strategy for One Payment Tanzania Limited by creating an execution roadmap, and the operation of the roadmap.
The job holder will work together with and supervise the in-country teams by setting objectives, coaching and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
• Lead country operations with the support of an in-country team to create fantastic merchant experiences and an amazing work environment for all in-country staff.
• Establish and maintain direct communication with the Central Bank and other regulators to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
• Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with acquirers, MNOs, merchants, and other stakeholders while partnering with them to better align with their business objectives and needs.
• Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
• Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
• Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
• Drive the business development aspect of the business with specific emphasis on merchant acquisition and revenue growth in the designated market.
• Champion internal cross-departmental collaboration & processes to ensure that clients’ requirements are communicated, and solutions sought.
• Provide leadership in market data collection and collation to inform corporate-wide commercial strategies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all enterprise business.
Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
• Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgement.
• Understand what drives value for each group in our marketplace and can make sensible commercial decisions to reflect this.
• Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
• Understanding of how to position products against competitors.
• Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
• A natural leader who inspires and motivates those around them – ability to lead from the front.
• Excellent command of MS Office and CRM software
• Experience with leading sales teams
