Farm Operations Manager – Musanze, Rwanda

Our client, a leading East-African mushroom producers, serving customers with a range of high-quality mushrooms and mushroom-derived products in Rwanda is looking for a hands-on Farm Operations Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be overseeing daily operations, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring all processes run smoothly and in alignment with set objectives. The role ensures optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety standards by closely monitoring performance, enforcing compliance with policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, monitor, and manage monthly and annual operational budgets.
• Track and control expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Generate and analyze financial and operational reports to drive improvements.
• Coordinate procurement of raw materials, packaging, and equipment to support production.
• Manage inventory effectively to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, ensuring timely repairs and preventive maintenance schedules are in place.
• Supervise HR and administrative functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
• Oversee quality control processes, ensuring adherence to HACCP standards and consistent product quality.
• Coordinate logistics operations and lead overall plant activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and achievement of production targets.

Key Qualifications
• Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; ability to develop and implement operational KPIs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary: Monthly Gross Salary: 1,029 - 1,372 USD
