Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for the position of Owner with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The individual will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, coordinating international partnerships, overseeing diplomatic missions, and ensuring alignment with the nation's foreign policy. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing high-level relations with foreign governments and organizations, developing diplomatic strategies, representing Ethiopia in global forums, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills
• Extensive knowledge of foreign policy, diplomacy, and international relations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional proficiency in Arabic, French, or other international languages is an advantage
• Proven ability to manage and collaborate with diverse teams, both locally and internationally
• Experience in policy development, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• Understanding of geopolitical dynamics, particularly in the African and Horn of Africa regions
• Advanced degree in International Relations, Political Science, or related fields is highly desirable
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to dynamic environments, and maintain confidentiality
