The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring the timely sourcing of high-quality ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies in line with Ladurée’s luxury brand standards. This role focuses on cost efficiency, supplier performance, and product excellence, supporting both retail boutiques and production operations.
Key Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business needs and seasonal demand
• Source premium raw materials (e.g., almonds, chocolate, butter) and packaging materials
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers
Supplier Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
• Collaborate with production, retail, and logistics teams to forecast demand
• Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory
• Ensure timely deliveries and manage lead times effectively
Cost Control & Budgeting
• Manage procurement budgets and track spending
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Monitor market trends and mitigate risks related to price fluctuations
Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Ensure all procured goods meet food safety and brand standards
• Conduct supplier audits and quality checks
• Maintain compliance with local regulations and import/export requirements
Packaging & Brand Alignment
• Oversee sourcing of luxury packaging (boxes, ribbons, bags)
• Ensure packaging reflects Ladurée’s brand identity and seasonal campaigns
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams
Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare procurement reports and performance metrics
• Analyze purchasing data to improve efficiency
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field
• 5–8+ years of purchasing experience (preferably in luxury F&B or retail)
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Knowledge of supply chain systems and inventory management
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
