Relationship Manager – Wealth & Financial Services

• These roles are available across multiple locations in South Africa, including Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Welkom, Queenstown, East London, Butterworth, Polokwane, Govan Mbeki, Edendale, and Acornhoek.
We are recruiting, on behalf of a leading banking and financial services institution, an experienced Relationship Manager – Wealth & Financial Services to manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth clients.
This role is suited to commercially minded professionals with a strong background in retail banking, business banking, financial services, and advisory sales, who are confident operating in a regulated, performance-driven environment.
🔥Your Impact
• Design and deliver customised wealth and financial plans, including investments, retirement planning, and risk and insurance solutions
• Build, grow, and manage long‑term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted adviser across their financial needs
• Maintain a strong understanding of financial markets, product offerings, and regulatory developments to ensure relevant, up‑to‑date advice
• Provide professional, compliant advice in line with the FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) framework and FSCA requirements
• Consistently achieve or exceed performance and revenue targets, while placing clients’ needs, objectives, and outcomes at the centre of every recommendation
🔹What You Bring
• FAIS Fit & Proper compliant, with a valid RE5 certification, an active DOFA, and full alignment to current FSCA regulatory requirements
• CFP® designation (Certified Financial Planner), is essential
• A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in wealth management, financial advisory, or a banking‑led environment
• Demonstrated, hands‑on experience working with high‑net‑worth or affluent clients
• Strong exposure to retail banking, business banking, financial services, and advisory‑led sales
• A relevant qualification in Financial Planning, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (NQF Level 5 or higher preferred)
• A strong relationship‑driven mindset, with the ability to build credibility and trust at senior client levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, supported by a commercial, goal‑oriented approach to growing and retaining client portfolios
• South African citizenship
• A clear ITC (credit) record and no criminal record
• A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
