We are offering an internship for those starting their careers in pest control and hygiene sales in Tanzania. The Service to Sales Intern will engage clients, transform service interactions into sales opportunities, and receive comprehensive training in sales and pest management.
Role Overview
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the sales team within the assigned territory to achieve and exceed sales targets across both new and existing customer segments. The role is responsible for driving customer retention and business growth by implementing effective and innovative sales strategies. You will recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team, ensure optimal staffing levels, and maintain a strong talent pipeline. Additionally, you will oversee sales budgets and expenses, provide clear direction and expectations to the team, and inspire them to consistently deliver outstanding performance.
You are accountable for complying with the latest Health & Safety, Environmental and Pesticide usage regulations. In addition, all Rentokil Pest Control guidelines, manuals, booklets and printed correspondence should be adhered to at all times.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Team Leader
• Provide leadership and guidance to sales team members to build an effective sales force and meet or surpass budgeted sales targets within both new and existing customer segments.
• Maintain and enhance customer retention rates, fostering continuous positive growth in this area.
• Efficiently recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent.
• Oversee and control both budgeted and unbudgeted sales expenses.
• Implement innovative sales strategies to generate new business opportunities.
• Inspire and motivate sales team members to reach ambitious sales goals.
• Ensure the branch is consistently staffed with appropriate personnel and cultivate a strong pipeline of sales talent for each territory.
• Clearly communicate job expectations to all sales colleagues and ensure these fundamental requirements are met
Requirements:
Qualifications We Are Looking For
Educational Background: A recent degree in Business, Marketing, or Environmental Science is necessary, providing theoretical and practical knowledge relevant to our field.
Attitude: Candidates should have a strong sales orientation and a commitment to outstanding customer service, prioritizing client needs.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Swahili is essential for effective communication with diverse clientele and team collaboration.
Adaptability: A proactive approach is needed for hands-on fieldwork, with a willingness to adapt to varying environments in a dynamic setting.
Driver's License: A valid Tanzanian driver's license is preferred, aiding in client engagement and business operations, though not mandatory for all candidates.
Additional Qualifications: strong communication and interpersonal skills are sought. Ability to work independently and in teams is essential, and while knowledge in pest control and hygiene services is a plus, training will be provided. Proficiency in MS Office and solid IT skills are required, alongside a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
