About The Job

• To operate a 22-tonne excavator (SANY) safely and efficiently in executing excavation, earthworks, and material handling tasks, ensuring project activities are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety standards

Responsibilities

• Operate a 22-tonne excavator (SANY) for excavation, trenching, grading, demolition, and loading activities.
• Perform bulk earthworks, site clearing, and digging foundations as per project requirements.
• Load materials onto trucks and manage stockpiles efficiently.
• Conduct pre-start checks and routine inspections of the excavator.
• Ensure proper use and care of the machine to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Follow all site safety regulations and company policies.
• Interpret basic drawings, levels, and site instructions where necessary.
• Work closely with supervisors, surveyors, and ground staff during operations.
• Identify and report mechanical faults or safety risks immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe working condition of the equipment

Requirements

• Valid heavy equipment operator certification/license (Excavator).
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience operating excavators (preferably 20+ tonne machines).
• Experience working on construction, infrastructure, or mining projects is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with SANY excavators or similar heavy equipment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance
• Must have a clean criminal record (certificate of good conduct may be required).
