We currently have a vacancy for the position of Warehouse Team Leader(Late Shift), based at our Warehouse in the West Rand. Overall purpose of the job: Provide effective team leadership within a designated warehouse section and support daily operations, workload coordination, and achievement of business targets.Ensure operational efficiency, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
Support development of team members while fostering a strong safety culture.
This is a late shift position and the candidate must be able to work late shift hours, must reside in the West Rand or Soweto.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
• Lead and support a team to meet operational and customer demand.
• Train, mentor, and guide warehouse staff within area of responsibility.
• Assist Management to ensure inventory accuracy and correct stock movement
recording.
• Maintain accuracy and functionality of warehouse systems and equipment including
scanners, printers and scales.
• Identify operational or system improvements and recommend solutions.
• Resolve issues within authority and escalate when necessary.
• Produce operational reports and productivity statistics as required on consumables,
lunch breaks, overpicks, time and attendance.
• Review ways to reduce waste, idle time, and inefficiencies.
• Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
• Ensure staff compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment.
• Support time, attendance, and people management processes.
• Communicate targets, priorities, and expectations to staff.
• Monitor performance and report progress to management.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport partners.
• Participate in stock takes, meetings, and training sessions.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (or equivalent) - Essential.
• Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a warehouse environment & Experience working late shift or shift hours.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
• Minimum of 2 years’ general warehouse experience.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, Qwix ,or similar).
• Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Forklift certification (advantageous).
