Requirements
• B Tech: Civil Engineering
• Eligibility for registration as Candidate Engineering Technologist
• Up to 3 years’ relevant experience in Municipal Civil

Engineering Infrastructure
• Computer literacy, i.e. Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS

Projects. CAD and modelling packages.
• Willingness to travel within the City of Cape Town if required
• A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
• Applies basic principles and theoretical knowledge of civil

engineering services, e.g. feasibility, concept and preliminary

designs, documentation and procurement, contract administration

and inspections.
• Compiling and maintaining stats.
• Drafting routine correspondence.
• Preparing routine reports.
• Responding to enquiries/requests.
• Safe- keeping of research material.
• Analysing and evaluating information.
• Conduct research and investigations.
• Providing the results of research.
• Participating in facilitation.
• Answering routine queries.
• Discussing results of research.
• Interpreting legal documents.
• Data interpretation and analysis.
