Job description
Our client, a leading global provider of electronic safety and security solutions with a strong presence in Kenya, is seeking a Business Development Manager (Secure Systems) to drive growth in the Tanzania market.
In this role, you will lead sales and business development efforts, identify new clients, generate revenue, and manage key accounts. You will also conduct site surveys, deliver tailored proposals and solution presentations, and build strong client relationships while collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities
· Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
· Conduct market research to identify potential customers and their needs.
· Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
· Prepare detailed commercial proposals, quotations, and contracts tailored to client needs.
· Negotiate and close sales deals while ensuring favorable terms.
· Conduct site surveys in collaboration with the technical team.
· Articulate the value proposition of solutions and align them with client challenges.
· Utilize modern sales techniques including digital networking, social selling, and thought leadership.
· Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
· Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates to management.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
· Participate in sales meetings, conferences, and networking events.
· Train and mentor junior sales team members where applicable.
· Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
· MBA in Marketing or relevant professional sales/marketing certifications is an added advantage.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B solutions sales of electronic security systems (e.g., CCTV, fire alarms, access control, parking management systems), with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
· Strong understanding of B2B sales dynamics and deep familiarity with the Tanzania market (Pan-African exposure is an added advantage).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
· Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Self-driven, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.
· Demonstrated ability to generate new business and enhance profitability.
· Knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools.
Valid driver’s license, passport, and willingness to travel as required
