Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Contract Manager to join a major airport development project in East Africa. This is a flagship infrastructure scheme valued at over USD $500 million, offering the opportunity to take a leading role in delivering a high-profile aviation project.

Our Client

Our client is a well-established international construction business with a strong track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects globally. They are currently involved in the delivery of a major airport project and are seeking a Contract Manager to lead all commercial and contractual aspects on site.

The Role

The Contract Manager will take full responsibility for overseeing the contract and commercial management of the project. This includes managing contracts, handling claims and variations, and ensuring the project remains commercially on track. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing strategic commercial input while mitigating risks and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience leading contract and commercial functions on large-scale construction projects (USD $500M+ value)
• Proven experience working on at least one airport project (essential)
• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or similar (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of international contract forms such as FIDIC
• Demonstrated experience managing claims, variations, and dispute resolution
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Salary / Package
• USD $10,000 – $12,000 per month
• Accommodation provided
• 3 return flights per year
• Full medical and insurance coverage
