FULL TIME / PART TIME POSITION

Join a Dynamic Leadership Team at SAHARA! We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Coordinator to join our team on either full time OR part-time basis.
The Role: The Finance Coordinator ensures the integrity of SAHARA’s financial systems by documenting all transactions accurately, maintaining compliance with donor requirements, and managing organizational assets and procurement.
1. Financial Management and Accounting
· Document and record all financial transactions accurately in the financial software (e.g., XERO or Pastel).
· Process invoices, payments, staff salaries, reimbursements, and maintain the petty cash system.
· Reconcile accounts and balance books on a monthly basis.
· Assist in preparing budgets, financial statements, and reports for senior management, the Board, contractors and donors.
2. Resource, Asset, and Procurement Management
· Maintain an up-to-date inventory of office supplies, equipment, and assets.
· Track and manage procurement to ensure compliance with policies and cost-effectiveness.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
· Oversee secure storage of procured items and conduct regular stock checks.
3. Risk Management and Audit Support
· Implement internal controls and safety protocols to protect staff and assets.
· Support external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
· Ensure all procurement and storage activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Key Requirements:
• Experience: At least 4 years of experience in a financial, procurement, or administrative role.
• Qualification: A certificate or diploma in finance, administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and financial software like Xero and payroll software i.e. Payspace; strong organizational and communication skills.
• General: Own transport is essential; ability to work independently.
