The role of FP&A Manager, based in South Africa, plays a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Controller while acting as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director, commercial teams and cross‑functional stakeholders. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting and governance for the Africa Diagnostics Division, while developing a high‑performing FP&A team.

What You’ll Work On
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness
• Drive FP&A activities including annual plans, LBEs, forecasting and variance analysis
• Partner closely with senior leadership to deliver insights that support strategic and commercial decision‑making
• Oversee P&L performance, balance sheet reviews, cash flow and working capital management
• Build and maintain robust financial models to support investment and strategic initiatives
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance and adherence to Abbott accounting policies
• Manage internal and external audits and proactively identify financial risks and mitigation plans
• Lead, coach and develop the FP&A team, building capability and accountability across finance

Qualifications
• Completed CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is essential
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in FP&A / financial management roles .
• At least 5 years’ proven leadership experience essential.
• Experience within a multinational FMCG and/or healthcare environment
• Strong systems experience (SAP, TM1, Hyperion HFM)
• Advanced Excel, financial modelling, PowerPoint and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Ability to communicate complex financial insights to non‑financial stakeholders
