AH Laboratory is Tanzania's first centralized, high-throughput clinical diagnostics facility, dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery across East Africa with rapid and reliable diagnostic services. With a comprehensive range of tests, including advanced PCR molecular diagnostics, we provide hospitals and healthcare facilities with results in 24–48 hours without requiring significant capital investments. Our state-of-the-art infrastructure adheres to ISO 15189 standards, leveraging advanced automation and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure accuracy and seamless integration. Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, we partner with the Tanzanian government and international organizations to make cutting-edge diagnostic solutions accessible nationwide and beyond. By 2028, we aim to expand to operate over 20 facilities nationwide, serving as the national diagnostic partner for Tanzania and other East African regions.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for a Laboratory Technologist. The role involves performing diagnostic tests in areas such as hematology, biochemistry, PCR diagnostics, and other clinical testing processes. Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control standards are met, interpreting test results with precision, and adhering to safety protocols. The Laboratory Technologist will collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver timely and accurate results for improved patient care while helping maintain the facility's operational excellence.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Skills, with the ability to conduct a variety of diagnostic tests
• Experience working with Laboratory Equipment and ensuring its optimal functionality
• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret test results accurately and reliably
• Understanding and implementation of Quality Control procedures within a laboratory setting
• Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications and licenses are considered an advantage
• Prior experience in clinical diagnostics or working in a high-throughput laboratory is a plus
