Lead – Quality Control

> Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Control Plan in alignment with contract requirements.
> Lead and manage the site QC activities for civil works and fit-out/finishes (structure, masonry, waterproofing, finishes, joinery, FF&E interfaces).
> Enforce QC standards that address durability challenges in a tropical maritime climate, including corrosion protection, concrete durability, waterproofing integrity, and material lifecycle considerations
> Review & implement project specifications, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and ensure adherence to approved quality documents.
> Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers on all quality matters.
> Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and surveillance to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
> Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, workmanship, test results, and inspections.
> Manage third-party testing agencies, material approvals, mock-ups, and sampling as per QA/QC plans.
> Address non-conformities through NCRs, corrective and preventive action plans.
> Adapt QC systems to the challenges of a remote island project, including advance planning for testing, certification, and material compliance.
> Provide regular quality reports and dashboards to senior management.
> Train and mentor, the project team and subcontractors on quality standards and expectations.
> Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / construction management / or related field
> Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015) preferred
> Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control on large-scale construction projects (>25,000 m2)
> Strong knowledge of construction materials, codes, international standards, and testing procedures
> Exposure to LEED / USGBC / green building certification processes
> Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
> Proficient in MS Office and documentation tools
> Good interpersonal and leadership skills,
> Good communication skills.
> Proficient in MS Word, Excel
