Job Description: Head of Operations / Key Account Officer (Dy. Manager) Position Overview Location: Abuja, Nigeria Department: Metering Reports to: Business Head Job Summary This role focuses on driving sales and deployment of Prepaid Meters and Maximum Demand Meters across key accounts in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will spearhead marketing, sales, after-sales support, liaison activities, business development, and project management while exploring all potential opportunities for energy meter sales.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote Prepaid Meters and Maximum Demand Meters; achieve sales targets through direct sales, partnerships, and market expansion. Identify and explore all potential areas for energy meter sales, including utilities, distribution companies, industrial clients, and government projects including REA. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, such as electricity distribution companies (DisCos), ensuring repeat business and account growth.

Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and customer support for deployed meters to ensure high satisfaction and minimal downtime. Act as primary liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g., NERC), DisCos, government agencies, and partners in Abuja and north regions. Lead end-to-end project execution for meter deployments, from procurement and logistics to commissioning and handover, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities in Nigeria's energy sector, including emerging areas like renewable integration and smart metering. Manage a team of sales executives, technicians, and support staff; provide training and performance oversight. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, project status, and market insights; ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements &

Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the energy sector, with a strong focus on energy meters (Prepaid Meters and Maximum Demand Meters). Proven experience working in Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos), specifically in meter sales, deployment, or operations. Hands-on expertise in meter installation, calibration, and troubleshooting. Nigeria-specific experience in the power sector (highly advantageous). Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, NSE membership).

Required Skills & Competencies Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting sales targets. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and timelines. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities for stakeholder liaison. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and energy management software. Ability to travel within Abuja and Nigeria as needed. Leadership skills to motivate teams and drive results.
