Key Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor RO plant, filtration units, dosing systems, and disinfection systems UV/Ozone
• Ensure smooth operation of bottling lines including rinsing, filling, capping, labelling, and packing
• Start-up and shut-down plant equipment as per SOPs
• Monitor plant parameters such as pressure, flow rate, pH, TDS, and conductivity
• Record operational data and report abnormalities
• Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal performance
• Ensure treated water meets required quality standards WHO, SON, NAFDAC
• Assist in sampling and basic laboratory testing
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in the plant
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Identify and report faults in pumps, membranes, valves, conveyors, and filling machines
• Support troubleshooting and minor repairs
• Monitor chemical usage and consumables
• Assist in handling and storage of raw materials and spare parts
• Report stock shortages
• Maintain daily logs, checklists, and reports
• Record downtime, breakdowns, and maintenance activities
• Report issues to supervisor promptly
Requirements
Qualification:
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering
• Technical certification in water treatment or plant maintenance is an added advantage
Experience:
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in water treatment, beverage, or bottling plants
• Experience in RO systems, packaged drinking water, or beverage bottling operations is preferred
Certifications:
• Any certification in field or relevant field
Selection Criteria:
• Should possess hands-on experience in operating RO drinking water and bottling plant equipment
• Should have proven experience in handling plant operations including filtration, dosing, and packaging processes
• Should have strong working knowledge of water treatment processes, plant equipment, and quality standards WHO, SON, NAFDAC
• Should have practical exposure to troubleshooting and basic maintenance of pumps, membranes, valves, and bottling machines
• Should possess hands-on experience in monitoring plant parameters such as pH, TDS, pressure, and flow rates
• Should have proven experience in maintaining logs, reports, and operational documentation
• Should have strong working knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling
• Should have practical exposure to preventive and corrective maintenance support
• Should possess hands-on experience in maintaining plant hygiene and sanitation standards
• Should have proven experience in working in shifts and meeting production targets.
Functional Skills:
• Knowledge of Reverse Osmosis RO, filtration, and water treatment processes
• Understanding of bottling line operations and equipment
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems pumps, valves, motors
• Understanding of water quality parameters pH, TDS, turbidity
• Ability to read gauges, meters, and control panels
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Knowledge of quality standards WHO, SON, NAFDAC
• Record keeping and documentation skills.
