RID Nigeria is a leading faith-based democracy and policy non-profit organization committed to mobilizing, equipping, and empowering individuals, primarily Christians, to drive transformational change in Nigeria. Since its inception in 2009, RID has engaged over 50,000 young people, distributed 10,000+ copies of RID Magazines, and implemented impactful projects across 15 states. Through more than 400 meetings, conferences, and seminars, the organization has fostered hope and action among its community.
With the support of over 250 staff, volunteers, and partners, RID continues working toward a developed and thriving Nigeria.

Role Description

As a Programs Intern, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of various initiatives spearheaded by RID Nigeria. Your responsibilities will include assisting with event logistics, conducting research, drafting program materials, coordinating with volunteers, and monitoring project outcomes. This is a volunteer, on-site role based in Nigeria, where you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to support the organization's mission and vision.
Qualifications

• Program coordination and event planning experience

• Strong skills in research, content creation, and documentation

• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in basic computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite

• Passion for community service, social and political initiatives, and community development

• Preferred but not required: understanding of policy advocacy and democracy-focused initiatives

• Flexibility and willingness to travel within Nigeria as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (completed or in progress) is advantageous
