Location: Zanzibar, Tanzania

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects in Zanzibar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, manage, and execute projects from concept through completion
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Manage risks, issues, and changes effectively
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and project requirements
• Conduct site visits and oversee on-site activities
• Review and manage contracts, procurement, and resource allocation
• Ensure quality standards and project objectives are met

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
• 4–8 years of relevant project management experience (construction/real estate preferred)
• Proven track record of delivering projects successfully
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience working in East Africa is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Experience in hospitality, residential, or mixed-use developments
• Familiarity with local authorities, permitting processes, and contractors in Zanzibar/Tanzania
• Strong financial and budgeting skills
