Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Click 'Sign Up' and choose your account type: Job Seeker, Employer, Recruitment Agency, or Consultant. You can also sign up with your Google account for faster registration.
What account types are available?
We offer four account types: Job Seeker (for individuals looking for work), Employer (for companies posting vacancies), Recruitment Agency (for staffing firms), and Consultant (for independent recruiters and HR professionals).
Can I change my account type later?
Yes. Go to your Dashboard → Profile and update your account type. Your plan will be adjusted automatically to match the new type.
Is Masters Africa free to use?
Yes! Both job seekers and employers can start with a free plan. Free plans include all core features — posting listings, applying for jobs, and messaging. Premium features like Bump Up and Highlight are available as optional paid add-ons.
For Job Seekers
How do I upload my CV?
After signing in, go to Dashboard → Post a Job/CV and follow the step-by-step wizard. You can add your work experience, education, skills, and upload a PDF resume.
How do I apply for a job?
Open a job listing and click the 'Apply Now' button. You can include a cover message with your application. The employer will receive your CV and profile details.
Can employers see my CV?
Your CV is visible in the People section. Employers can view your profile and contact you directly. You can control your visibility through your profile status: Available, Open to offers, Not looking, or Employed.
How do I track my applications?
Go to Dashboard → Applications to see all your submitted applications and their status (pending, viewed, shortlisted, rejected, or hired).
What does my profile status mean?
Your status tells employers about your availability: 'Available' means you are actively looking, 'Open to offers' means you'll consider opportunities, 'Not looking' means you're not seeking work, and 'Employed' means you're currently working.
For Employers & Agencies
How do I post a job?
Sign in as an Employer or Agency, click 'Post a Job/CV', select the listing type and category, then fill in the job details. Your listing goes live immediately.
How many jobs can I post?
It depends on your plan. The free Recruiter Standard plan allows 15 listings. Recruiter Pro allows 20, and Advanced plans allow up to 50. Check our Pricing page for full details.
How do I manage applications?
Go to Dashboard → Applications to review all incoming applications. You can view applicant profiles, download CVs, and respond directly through the messaging system.
Can I post events?
Yes! Employers and agencies can create career events such as job fairs, webinars, and workshops. Go to Dashboard → Events to create and manage your events.
AI-Powered Features
What is AI Job Matching?
When you open a job listing as a logged-in job seeker, you'll see an 'AI Match Score' button. Click it and our AI analyses your CV against the vacancy — comparing skills, experience, education, location, languages, and salary expectations. You get an overall percentage score with a detailed breakdown showing your strengths and gaps.
How does the AI Job Description Generator work?
When posting a job, click 'Generate with AI' on the form. Enter the job title, company, and key requirements — the AI creates a complete professional job description with responsibilities, requirements, and benefits in seconds. You can edit the result before posting.
What is the AI Resume Builder?
When creating your CV, click 'Build CV with AI'. Paste text from your old resume or LinkedIn profile, and the AI automatically extracts and structures your experience, education, skills, and certifications — filling all form fields for you. Review, adjust, and submit.
Is AI generation free?
Yes, AI features are included for all users at no extra cost. There are usage limits per hour to ensure fair access: 30 match scores, 10 vacancy generations, and 5 resume parses per hour.
What is Salary Insights?
Visit the Salary Insights page to explore average salaries by job category and country across Africa. Charts and tables show minimum, average, and maximum salaries based on real job listings posted on our platform.
Can I download my CV as a PDF?
Yes! On any CV page, click 'Download PDF' to generate a professionally formatted PDF with a modern two-column layout. The PDF includes all your details — contact info, experience, education, skills, and languages. Perfect for sharing with employers.
Search & Discovery
How do I search for jobs?
Use the search bar on the homepage to search by keyword, category, or location. You can also browse by category or use the Search by Location page for map-based job discovery.
Can I filter jobs by location?
Yes! Use the location filter in the header to narrow results to a specific country or city. The filter works across Jobs, People, and Events pages.
What is Search by Location?
Search by Location shows jobs and CVs on an interactive map. You can search by area, adjust the radius, and switch between map and list views. It's great for finding opportunities near you.
Can I set up job alerts?
Email notifications for new matching jobs are sent automatically based on your profile preferences. Make sure email notifications are enabled in your Dashboard → Profile settings.
Messaging & Communication
How do I contact an employer?
Click on a job listing and use the 'Apply Now' button to submit an application, or 'Send Message' to start a conversation directly.
Can employers message me?
Yes, employers can message job seekers through the platform. You'll receive notifications when you have new messages. Check Dashboard → Messages regularly.
Why can't I send messages?
Messaging may be restricted if: your profile status is set to 'Not looking' or 'Employed', or if the recipient has blocked messaging from your account type. Some plans may also have messaging limitations.
Pricing & Payments
What is Bump Up?
Bump Up moves your listing to the top of search results by refreshing its publication date. It's a one-time boost — use it when your listing starts dropping in the results. Costs $5 per credit.
What is Highlight?
Highlight adds a golden 'Featured' badge to your listing and places it above all regular listings, giving you 2x more views on average. Costs $10 per credit.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Stripe (credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and local African payment methods), PayPal, and 2Checkout for international payments.
Can I get a refund?
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Contact info@masters.africa for assistance.
What currencies are supported?
Prices are displayed in USD by default. We support payments in 15 African currencies including South African Rand (ZAR), Nigerian Naira (NGN), Kenyan Shilling (KES), Ghanaian Cedi (GHS), and more.
Account & Privacy
How do I delete my account?
Go to Dashboard → Profile or contact us at info@masters.africa. Your profile and public data will be removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained as required by law.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We use HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, and secure data centres. We comply with African data protection laws including POPIA (South Africa), NDPR (Nigeria), and Kenya's Data Protection Act. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes! Click the Google button on the login page. If you don't have an account yet, one will be created automatically — you'll just need to select your account type.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link. If you signed up with Google, use that button to sign in instead.

Which countries does Masters Africa cover?
We serve all 54 African countries. Our platform includes job categories, currencies, and work authorisation labels tailored for the African job market.
Is there a mobile app?
Masters Africa is fully optimised for mobile browsers — no app download needed. Just visit masters.africa on your phone and it works like an app. You can also add it to your home screen.
How do I report a fake listing or scam?
Click the 'Report' option on any listing, or contact us at info@masters.africa. We take fraud seriously and will investigate and remove fraudulent content promptly.
